Say Goodbye To Blocked Drains With Our Worry-Free Solution!

Have you ever had a blocked drain?
Why do they always happen when you have a massive bill to pay or are expecting house guests?
They always happen at the worst time – Although seriously, there is never a good time to get a blocked drain!

The frustration and embarrassment of a blocked drain leaves you feeling helpless.
The thing about blocked drains is that if it happens because of tree roots or if there is minor damage to your pipes, the blockage will happen again.

We have two solutions to deal with drains that block or clog for these reasons.
We have a short-term solution lasting a couple of years between each service
called Hydro Jetting.
Or we can do pipe relining that can last up to 35 years.

Hydro Jetting Drain Cleaning Services

Hydro Jetting drain cleaning includes a CCTV camera inspection so that we can pin pont where the blockage is and what is causing it.
This method uses state-of-the-art equipment, we can efficiently unblock any clogged drain, regardless of the cause. Our plumbers can pinpoint the exact location of the blockage and use high-pressure water to blast it away.

If the blockage is caused by a one off event such as:

  • Pouring fat down a drain
  • Sanitary items being flushed
  • A toy going down the toilet
  • Hair going down the shower

These blockages are easily avoidable and we can show you how to dispose of cooking oil and grease and using a simple strainer to stop hair going down the shower drains.

A recent study has shown that over 50% of clogged drains are caused by a grease buildup, with hair and soap scum being the following most common causes.
Left untreated, these blockages can lead to more severe damage to the pipes, causing leaks and potential flooding.
Prevention of oil, grease and hair going down your sinks is an easy way to avoid a blocked drain.
Doing some drain maintenance each month will also help to keep drains clear.
Read more here about what you can do yourself with boiling water or a plunger.
Avoid using drain cleaners, like Draino. They contain harmful chemicals that can corrode your pipes, damage the environment, and even harm wildlife. NEVER use it in your storm water drains.

At Jet Plus Plumbing, we understand the importance of a clean and functioning drain system in your home, so we ensure that any ongoing drainage problems that are causing the blockages are also addressed.

Constantly Blocked Drains

Without fixing the reason why your drains are constantly blocking, will cause frustration and end up being really expensive with regular drain clearing needed.
A once off permanent solution will save you money and time in the long run.
This is where pipe relining or pipe patching comes in a solution that we deliver for some of our clients and it guarantees a 35-year lifespan and eliminates the need for excavation.

(Please note – some pipes may be damaged beyond what pipe relining can repair and you may need new pipes to be installed)

Causes of Constantly Blocking Drains

We often encounter consistently blocked drains caused by tree root infiltration, which can be a frustrating and costly problem for homeowners. Tree roots are attracted to the moisture and nutrients in pipes and can quickly grow through the small cracks or joints, causing blockages and even pipe damage.
Hydro jetting will clear out the tree roots, but if you do not seal the small cracks and leaks in the pipes, the tree roots will be back in the drains causing another blockage within a couple of years.
DO NOT make the mistake of removing a problem tree, what can happen is when the root system dies, it causes the soil to move or collapse and this can cause pipes to crack and break when the soil moves position.
By using pipe relining as the solution, you are creating a pipe that can no longer be infiltrated by the tree roots and you get to keep your tree!

So don’t let tree roots take over your plumbing – contact us today and say goodbye to blocked drains for good!

Cracks, Holes and Damage in a Pipe

Pipe relining involves inserting a new pipe into the existing one, essentially creating a pipe within a pipe. The new pipe inside the old one, seals up the small cracks and holes in a pipe.It avoids excavation and is four times stronger than a standard PVC pipe.
It is a perfect solution for plumbing that goes under a concrete slab, tiled areas, heritage trees, a landscaped garden, swimming pools, or driveways.
You can also opt for pipe relining during the construction of your home or while you are doing landscaping work as a preventive measure.
This avoids the massive cost of having to dig to repair a pipe.
(Please note – There are times that a pipe can be too damaged to have relining done)

Pipe Patching

Pipe patching involves the same process, using a resin material inserted into the damaged section of the pipeline, which then hardens and seals the crack or hole. It is done at a much smaller scale than relining an entire section of a pipe.
It is also cost-effective solution that ensure that pipes remain clear and functional for extended periods.

The Process For Pipe Inspection and Relining

Our plumbers need to inspect the drains with a CCTV drain camera.
We can then provide a quote for a relining solution to increase the flow rate and efficiency of the pipes.
Not only will you keep out all tree roots, but it also reduces the impact on the environment.
The next step after agreeing that pipe relining is what you would like to go ahead with,
We need to use our hydro jetter to blast away years of buildup and debris in your pipes.
We can also remove tree roots and cut them out of the pipes.
This leaves the insides of the pipe, leaving them clean and clear, ready to be relined.
The relining process does not take long at all.
A long fabric tube/sleeve that is coated with resin is pushed into the pipe.
It is blown up so that the fabric sleeve is sitting up against the pipes walls.
The resin then hardens creating a pipe within a pipe.
