Thermostatic Mixing Valves
Knowing that you can turn on a tap and expect warm, consistent water is one of life’s little luxuries. Waiting too long for the hot water to get hot is an annoyance and a waste, while hot water that is instantly too hot can be dangerous – especially for children and for others who are vulnerable.
If you would like to talk to us regarding installation, or thermostatic mixing valve testing, then we can ensure you have a system that meets your needs.
The purpose of a thermostatic mixing valve (TMV) is to ensure you get the that safe and consistent supply of water that is never too hot or too cold. Most TMVs will be set to water temperatures between 500C to 600C to ensure that hot and cold water supplies are blended at a comfortable temperature. This temperature range will also assist bacteria control, by killing off most bacteria and preventing it from multiplying within the water system. You can talk to our team if you have specific concerns regarding unsafe levels of legionella in the water delivery system.
